Important: Enable your NHS App notifications

We increasingly use the NHS App to send important information such as updates about your care or treatment, appointment information and reminders, and responses to queries or advice requests.

The NHS App is designed to notify you when a new message arrives, but you will only receive these alerts if notifications are enabled on your device. For instructions on how enable these, please click here.

Without notifications switched on, you may not realise that a message has been sent to you unless you open the app and check manually.

Healthier You – The National Diabetes Prevention Programme

If you have had your blood sugar level tested in the last year (and if your reading was higher than normal) you may receive a letter from the surgery notifying you that we have reserved a place for you on the NHS’s National Diabetes Prevention Programme.

For more information about what this involves, please download our Patient Information sheet

Research suggests that 70% of candidates who have attended a diabetes prevention programme like this one avoid type 2 diabetes.

If you have received a letter, please call 0800 092 1191 to confirm your place.
