Important: Enable your NHS App notifications

We increasingly use the NHS App to send important information such as updates about your care or treatment, appointment information and reminders, and responses to queries or advice requests.

The NHS App is designed to notify you when a new message arrives, but you will only receive these alerts if notifications are enabled on your device. For instructions on how enable these, please click here.

Without notifications switched on, you may not realise that a message has been sent to you unless you open the app and check manually.

Urgent Eyecare Service in Primary Care (CUES)

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the local Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) has been replaced with the Urgent Eyecare Service in Primary Care (CUES). CUES is for all patients registered with a GP in Kingston, Richmond, Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth areas.

The service will help to ensure that our patients can still access urgent eyecare within Primary Care and using an established trained workforce, while reducing demand on hospital eye services during the pandemic.

The service uses telephone triage and, where necessary, offers face-to-face assessment.

You can find the practices in Wandsworth involved in CUES at www.primaryeyecare.co.uk using the ‘Find a Practice’ tool.
