We increasingly use the NHS App to send important information such as updates about your care or treatment, appointment information and reminders, and responses to queries or advice requests.

The NHS App is designed to notify you when a new message arrives, but you will only receive these alerts if notifications are enabled on your device. For instructions on how enable these, please click here.

COVID vaccination update – 30/11/2021

Today is the anniversary of the first COVID vaccination.

Current policy is for all over 18s to receive a booster COVID vaccine, 3 months from the 2nd dose.

At the Nelson Health Centre and Wilson Hospital, this will be the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, irrespective of the previous two doses.

We recommend all over 18s to take up the invite.

You will be contacted by the NHS 3 months after your 2nd dose.

Immunosuppressed patients will continue to be offered a 3rd dose of the vaccine, 8 weeks after a 2nd dose.

We are endeavouring to contact all of our patients in this group, and once you are contacted, please book an appointment with the Nelson Health Centre or Wilson Hospital.

COVID vaccines are safe and save lives!
