Important: Enable your NHS App notifications

We increasingly use the NHS App to send important information such as updates about your care or treatment, appointment information and reminders, and responses to queries or advice requests.

The NHS App is designed to notify you when a new message arrives, but you will only receive these alerts if notifications are enabled on your device. For instructions on how enable these, please click here.

Without notifications switched on, you may not realise that a message has been sent to you unless you open the app and check manually.

Getting health information for your housing application

Housing providers may ask you for medical information, if you are:

– homeless and/or applying for social housing support for the first time
– reporting recent changes in your health
– reporting how your current home is impacting your health
– reporting how/why your home is not suitable for your/your family’s circumstances

You do not need a GP letter for this.

You can obtain this information at no cost by using existing medical letters and a medical summary from your health records by logging in to the NHS App and going to the ‘Documents’ section.
