Important: Enable your NHS App notifications

We increasingly use the NHS App to send important information such as updates about your care or treatment, appointment information and reminders, and responses to queries or advice requests.

The NHS App is designed to notify you when a new message arrives, but you will only receive these alerts if notifications are enabled on your device. For instructions on how enable these, please click here.

Without notifications switched on, you may not realise that a message has been sent to you unless you open the app and check manually.

IMPORTANT- Medication Shortages

There are current medication shortages across many groups of drugs. Many drugs we rely on every day come from China, or depend on ingredients that are made there, and the coronavirus outbreak has disrupted manufacturing.

Please do not over-order drugs. We understand everyone’s concerns but we now need to move to monthly prescribing. We can send three months’ worth of tokens to a chemist but only one month’s supply of any drug will be issued by the community pharmacy at a time.

This will help to ensure that there is enough supply for all of us in the next few difficult months. Please think of others and request medicines responsibly.
