We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.
Aged 75 or over
We have a practice policy that all patients over 75 should have a yearly health check. Please ask at reception for details. All patients aged 75 and over now have a named GP.
Antenatal clinics
The practice runs a “shared care” system. This way you will see your own doctor and go to the hospital for booking and special tests, eg scans. We encourage pregnant ladies to let the reception team know when they are consulting a nurse or doctor about pregnancy advice.
Long-acting reversible contraception
The practice now offer long-acting reversible contraception in the form of IUCD (coil) fittings and contraceptive implants. Our nurses also carry out coil checks and removals. Telephone consultations may have to be arranged prior to booking these appointments so please speak to a member of the reception team for further information and to be booked in with the appropriate GP or nurse.
Travel advice
Please book an appointment with the travel nurse at least two months prior to departure, as some immunisations need to be given in advance to provide optimum cover. Please note that not all travel vaccines are free, so you may be required to pay a charge, this can be paid in cash or via our card reader. Please note that Travel Health Insurance is essential for any journey abroad.
Do I have to pay for anything?
Everything concerned with your health or that of your family is free (except prescriptions unless you are entitled to get them free). For most other services including medicals, private certificates and passports a fee is charged at the rate recommended by the British Medical Association, as is also the case with some travel vaccines. Please see our Fees for non-NHS services. We accept cheques, cash and card payments.
